Dale, [personal information removed] calling. Listen, next time someone makes fun of the tiny homes, answer like this. I challenge any one of you to spend tonight on the street completely unprepared, no warm clothes, no food, no family. Tomorrow night, when you're hungry and still haven't found a place to sleep, eat, or poop, tell me if you want a tiny home immediately or do you want to wait for something.

I would like it if the city would help homeless people and make the streets safer. I feel like they need help and we can help them but won’t because we have developed a tolerance for homeless people. This is not a good thing, but I myself avoid homeless people because I am nervous around them and I feel bad for it because I’m sure they are just regular people who fell into a hole others…

Hello, [personal information removed]. My number is [personal information removed]. I'd like to hear about NEO's plans for the homelessness and drug crisis on our streets. My vote will go to the candidate who has the best answer to this issue. Thank you.

Neil. How to handle the tiny home criticism. To all the other candidates say this. “I challenge any one of you to spend tonight on the street. Completely unprepared. No warm clothes. No food. No family. Tomorrow night when you’re hungry, and still haven’t found a place to sleep, eat or poop, tell me if you want a tiny home immediately or do you want to wait for something better. NOW, imagine if that was…

Hi, Nia. I'm contacting you about two items. One, are you going to raise property taxes? Number two, are you going to clean up the by-world market area, especially where the Salvation Army is, where there are lots of problems, where seniors like myself cannot walk with small children? So those are my two main issues. So I...

Hi, please support scrapping the vacancy unit tax and this graduated tax rate. It's seriously hurting the average homeowner, especially retired pensioners who are vacant units. Surely the city can find another way to deal with a housing issue that's less costly, damaging and intrusive on our lives. I'm not an absentee owner. I'm an older retired pensioner who owns and lives in the triplex. It's been in our family since the 1990s. I urge you.

You'd save millions if you stopped using overpriced consultants to create reports no one reads. Especially the double dipping former city workers who "consult."

I'm voting for Neil because Neil is the only candidate that came to a rural ward and listened to its people. Also, Neil, in the debate, when Mark Sutcliffe inevitably starts harping at Jeff Leeper about tax rates, you respond, you're disrespecting Mr. Leeper in the same way that you disrespected the citizens of Ottawa when you took eight days to ask for help in regards to the floods. You got this, Neil. We're wishing you all the best.

I want you to know that I am hoping you, as mayor, will stand with the LGBTQ community against the rising hate.

Could you outline your position on the proposed Interprovincial bridge crossing at Kettle Island? The project poses significant risks to the river ecosystem, the natural landscape, the recreational pathway, and the environmental quality of nearby neighbourhoods. It would also introduce substantial noise and air pollution to the communities bordering the proposed route. Why should the concerns of one neighbourhood be addressed by shifting the burden onto others? As mayor, what specific actions do you intend…

We need leadership that makes Ottawa a better place for everyone—addressing food insecurity, improving transportation, ensuring access to basic needs like affordable housing, and taking meaningful action to reduce poverty and homelessness.

Now is the time for smart investments to help the people that need it the most - austerity isn't the answer!

Please protect our important resources, like water and agricultural land, from careless development.

More washrooms are badly needed at Britannia Park. THOUSANDS use the beach and picnic areas in the park each day through spring, summer and fall and there are only 2 very small washrooms. Crazy! X-country skiers also need washrooms in winter.

We need wider bike paths with a separate pathway alongside for pedestrians. As more people bike for exercise, pleasure and to commute, pedestrians get crowded out and fight with bikes over space. Cheaper than roads!

It is most important to get Mr. Sutcliffe and the developer compact out of city hall.

Hi there. I would like to see more beautiful things in Ottawa, like more festivals and more nightlife. That's all.

Safe bike lanes for my kids to ride to school

#786028EN

I would like to see my road fixed so that there's not so many potholes in it.

We need more trees. There are so few mature trees in my neighbourhood. We need them. They make the city feel alive. They heal the environment and buttress us from the worst effects of climate change. Trees are beautiful and we need more of them.

#162369EN

I would like to see Ottawa thrive as a city and really be a place that is special for people who live here and also a place we can be proud of for when our friends and family visit.

#292101EN

We need to eliminate poor procurement practices to save money for things we actually need in this city.

Ottawa needs more trees.
